Saint Remi - Saint of the Red Branch

Saint Remi, French, Reym, Remi or Remy, was the Abbot of Reims, a town in France. He was born around four hundred years ago, on August 15th, in Auvergne. The name of Saint Remi is derived from his Episcopal title of Reginard, which means "of the Red Branch", and his diocesan name of Remy.

Saint Remi was the first bishop of Reims, which was located on the river Rhone, in Burgundy. He is also known as the "Abbot of the House of Reims".

Saint Remi is known to have introduced three monastic rules in his life, which are called the "Saints' Laws". These rules are named after his three brothers. His three brothers are St. Bernard, St. Eusebius and St. Bernard.
