Drive on the Eastern Island Highway

This beautiful East Island Highway is a spectacular way to get to Victoria and the Sunshine Coast. The scenic beauty of this road is stunning and you will be able to see the Victoria Harbour from every vantage point along this highway.

It starts off by heading out of town towards Banyule on the east coast of the Island Highway. This is a nice town that has plenty of options for shopping and dining. It also has a small airport, so you can easily fly into Cairns and head south to your next adventure.

You can drive through the towns of Parkville, Banyule and Coolum and stay on the east coast for a few days. After you have seen a bit of the coast and done a little bit of exploring you can head south on the Island Highway. There are many great beaches and you should try to get a picture of the sunrise from one of the many cliffs that dot the coast. As you head further south you will begin to see more remote outback regions where you will experience the true nature of Australia. If you are looking for a little bit more excitement than the highway offers then there is a number of great off-road driving tours that you can choose to participate in. You can also travel along the west coast to see some of the other natural wonders of Australia like the Great Sandy Desert, the Kangaroo Island National Park and the Kulin National Park. You will find many great activities to do on these places besides simply driving along the highway. You can swim, hike or explore.

You will find that you can drive the Island Highway for a few days and get to see some of the best scenery in the country. You can even get a taste of Australia's culture while visiting the towns of Parkville and Banyule, but you can also do it from a different perspective. You will get the chance to enjoy a great holiday in the city or a place with a more rural feel to it as well.
