Canadian Forces Base Goose Bay is known officially as CFB Goose Island, otherwise known as Canadian Forces Basing. It is an official airport operated by the Canadian Armed Forces. The airport was originally built as a military airfield. The base has been upgraded in recent years to include a commercial terminal that has international standards and regulations in place. It can accommodate the largest aircraft and the biggest planes as well.
